Charcoal Room, at Palace Station?

Anyone been there? How does it compare to other mid-level steakhouses, like Austin's or Billy Bob's or Redwood Grill?

Planning our first stay at Palace Station for February.

Thanks!

I'd put it even with BillyBobs, and far below Austin's (prime steaks!) and a little below Redwood. Not much atmosphere, unless it's been remodeled recently, but decent steaks. Roy
Sounds a little underwhelming, thanks for the info!

Roy - are you sure you have been to the Charcoal Room or was it the Broiler when you dined there? The reason why I ask is the Charcoal Room just opened this past June and the place has been remodeled. I have not been there since the conversion, but I did check out the Yelp reviews recently and they are very positive. Hopefully next year's MRB includes a coupon.

Thanks, Westie, that changes things a bit. I'll have a closer look at the reviews, and hopefully someone has been there and can report.
Westie's right - I was thinking of the Broiler. It's heck getting old! I'll have to try it out this January. Roy
The Broiler at Palace was awful. Glad there trying something else.
Well, the reviews on Tripadvisor and Yelp are mostly fairly positive, although none of the reviewers seem particularly savvy about food.

I'm shocked!

It's disconcerting when they can't spell really basic food names, like 'potato.'
