Did Pop Up Pizza at the Plaza change?

I just watched the latest "That Challenge Dude" video where he visits downtown 1 star review restaurants.  One of them was Pop Up Pizza at the Plaza, which I have always loved.  Their pizza is well baked, has lots of toppings, and is cut into big squares.  It's always been excellent in my view.  This video shows limp, thin, traditionally sliced slices with little toppings.  Did Pop Up change recently or did he just visit on an off night?  Anyone been lately?

Man, I sure hope they haven't changed - we stop in there every trip. Bonus for me is that they serve some of the best vegan pizza anywhere. I'll check it out in a couple weeks.

Nothing wrong with pop up pizza and I agree with the guy in the video, Pizza Rock, then Evel Pie, then Pop Up.

I was there last week, only had Pizza Rock this trip, delicious as always.  My buddies all had a slice late one night at Pop Up, no complaints, they enjoyed it.  Pop Up has traditional and square slice options depending on the day,  if you want it extra crispy just ask.  I've never had a floppy slice.

Square Pizza is an atrocious mid west idea and must be stopped!

Pop Up has always had good, solid traditional pizza, not sure where the one-star notion came from.  Oh, I haven't confirmed this, but a Plaza regular has told me that Pop Up will be closing soon.  I did read somewhere that they'll be adding a Five Guys to the Plaza, maybe that's where it will go, not sure.

The Pop Up space is pretty small.  I imagine they're putting the Five Guys on the other end, where the McD used to be.

Johnathan Jossel mentioned on his podcast that 5 Guys will be at the Pop Up Location and the pizza will be over in the food court.  Part of 5 Guys will spill over into that entrance area and outside for seating.

So, is Pop Up moving to the food court, or will it be a new pizza vendor?

Confirmed by Pop Up manager last week. Pizza was excellent as usual, especially The Vegan.

Thanks for the update, black jack. Do they know when Pop Up is moving ?
