Dining at Suncoast or Orleans Steakhouse

We would like to eat Prime Rib at a Boyd Property Steak House-- Paying with slot points.
Looks like close call, price wise, between Orlean's Prime Rib Loft, and Suncoast's, SC Prime Steakhouse and Bar (we are staying at both properties during our trip).

Would like your opinions on the Prime Rib quality between these two Steakhouses AND dress code for each.
Thanks
Having eaten at both many times, I prefer Suncoast. The nitely special that we use is a large 14oz prime rib with a large baked potato, large salad for $25. We receive a $50 a day food credit so that's how we pay. Also when we stay there they also have a coupon in the room for a free bottle of wine.

But for you, I don't think you can use your points for that special at Suncoast and ordering ala carte may be quite a bit more. PRLoft you would be able to use your points-for that matter Canal Street also.

We enjoy both so I think PRLoft is best for you. We enjoy the view and food quality we feel is better at Suncoast in our opinion. Tough call as both are very good.
Its been a few years...but I like the PR Loft at Orleans. Nice atmosphere. Small menu. If you are set on Prime Rib then great...if you want something else you will find your options limited.

Also, consider the Cortez Room at Gold Coast. Its really good at a reasonable price as well.
I didn't realize that you couldn't use points for food specials at Boyd. I was planning on doing just that for the special at the Redwood Room at the Cal.

fredo: I also would like to know for sure on the use of food points. I would think you can use your points at ANY Boyd owned restaurant. I don't know for sure, but you may not get the 40% discount on the special price items. I hope someone can offer the answer.
I just checked a couple of specials at the Orleans and it says you can't get the additional 40% on specials. If your planning on PRLoft, you would be safe as they rarely run a special.
