Eiffel Tower Restaurant

I have always wanted to take the wife up to the Eiffel Tower Restaurant but I have never pulled the trigger. Who has been there and what was your experience when you went?

It's been a couple of years, but we really liked the food and the view. It is rather expensive for what you get, but you are also paying for the view. The best time (IMHO) is after sunset, and if only two people, you'll probably get a window table facing the fountains. Really romantic - make sure to get a soufflé for dessert! I had dover sole (delicious). I purchased a dozen roses (they put them on the table ) when I reserved. It was her birthday. The roses were actually quite reasonable, and were a hit with my wife.

I attempted to celebrate my b-day there with my family this August.. I did not wanted to go there, since we had a not so great experience in Eiffel Tower a couple of years ago, but my husband insisted that we give this restaurant another chance. Well.. The whole dinner was nothing but a huge disappointment! Food mediocre at best, service none existent. By the end of the diner I just started to cry ( I was so much hopping for special b-day). Next time we will go to Andre's (excellent real French restaurant,) or Joe Robuchon

My husband and I ate lunch there this past July. I had always envisioned it as too "foo-foo" for us, but we had a $30 promo coupon from Lettuce Entertain You group, so we went. We scored a window seat overlooking the Bellagio fountains. Granted, it was lunch, but the view was awesome.

My husband had some sort of Benedict and I had stuffed French toast. Service was top notch. Glasses were filled promptly and no one was intrusive. We will definitely go back.

I cannot speak for dinner, but we enjoyed the lunch/brunch.
