Friday evening used a 20% off coupon for the Flamingo buffet(coupon from sheet given us at CP check-in).
The full price was $27.99 with coupon $22 something. My sister wanted to try it, wouldn't go for using LVA coupon for $10 off each Spice Market Buffet meal.
No seafood review, I don't eat it so couldn't evaluate it's taste or quality at this buffet.
Prime rib great if you like your meat well done. The meat was well done throughout a new roast that had just been put out for carving. I asked if the carver would get another roast that had a medium rare section to it. No can't do that. I should have requested my money back and went to a good buffet.
Mashed potatoes had that instant potato after taste and the gravy was gloppy and uninviting looking(so didn't try gravy).
The fried chicken was all over done so it was very dry. There was a roasted chicken that looked good, but I wanted fried.
Items in the Asian food section just didn't look inviting. I usually have some rice, vegetable spring rolls, noodles, & some of the non fishy dishes from the Asian section of a buffet, but was glad I only tried a rib. That had been so overcooked it had a jerky dryness to the meat.
There is a Mexican food area with a server cooking quesadillas with what you request in them. My sister tried a lobster one and wasn't impressed.
There was one good item at this buffet and it was the watermelon, ripe, sweet, and very good. They had cotton candy in packages, I bet they would have been good, but my dentist has finally convinced me to cut out that kind of sugar in my diet.
They do have 2 cappuccino machines in dessert area. They have a chocolate fountain machine, but it was clean and had no chocolate in it. There was a metal bowl filled with chocolate to dip your marshmallows and other stuff.
The staff at this buffet is nice.
I would not go to this buffet again. For a same non discounted price we could have gone to Harrahs Flavors buffet. Spice Market at PH while higher priced would be well worth the price difference to us.
