Hey everyone. Some of us oldies of the LVA boards are not gone. I'm just not hanging out here much.
One thing I've tried to do is start posting reviews on Yelp since I use that site (and others) to help locate restuarants. So here are a few comments on recent restaurants, plus a link to my Yelp review:
Art of Flavors Gelato: If you love gelato and love exotic flavors, then this is a must visit. The location a few blocks north of the Stratosphere is the only strike against the place. My group finally tried the place towards the end of our Vegas visit, but it meant returning to Flavors every day until we left. Here's my Yelp review:

Gaetano's: We make a visit here on every trip. It's my favorite Italian restaurant in Vegas. I haven't even been back to Nora's since first visiting here (I have change that, I really like Nora's). Use restaurant.com coupons to save a little money. My Yelp review:

Wicked Spoon for breakfast. Best breakfast buffet I've had in Vegas. Only one that we plan on visiting. Here's my yelp review:

Mirage Breakfast (and Brunch) buffet. We had comps. Glad we did. Average food with limited choices. The brunch is better: there's alcohol and seafood. Still, it's over-priced. I felt sorry for people paying full price. I cannot understand how this place gets the raves on Yelp. It's average to me. My yelp comments:

One other place to mention, and I haven't written a Yelp review (yet). Border Grill. Since the closure of Garduno's at Palms, two of us have moved our Sunday Brunch to the Border Grill. We get the mimosas and make the brunch last more than two hours. The Border Grill brunch is a bit pricy, but, so far we've managed discounts. MyVegas comp on the first trip (a little more than a year ago -- what a deal -- not surprised it didn't last). Then a restaurant.com coupon on the next trip. Then I signed up for their e-mail, and got a 241 coupon which they accepted for the brunch. I'm still willing to pay full price, but at half price, it's a bargain (to me). Over the last year plus, they have evolved their menu and processes. When we went a little more than a year ago, servers were overworked and food came out somewhat randomly. Things have improved much (possibly as a result of the reduction of coupons/comps). This last trip, they had us only order two dishes at a time, which was new. The food is excellent, and I'm looking forward to another Sunday brunch on my next trip. I'll be looking for special discounts with the opening of the second Border Grill at Caesars.
