Free buffet at the M?

I had read that if you sign up for a players card at the M Hotel, and earn enough pts. that you will get a free buffet, what I was wondering is if you have to use it the same day. and if you can use it for there fri night seafood buffet? we would like to try it on this vacation. [especially when we heard that they had beer and wine on their menu]

Any M card holder can get a free buffet from daily play, but it does have to be used that day. I believe that it is 300 points for the regular buffet and 500 points for the times that they have the seafood buffet.

It's not just for new signups, anyone with an M card can get the free buffet.

Have you been to the M buffet recently? I haven't been there since the new owners took over. Wondering how the selection and quality has been.

And I'm also wondering about whether it is still half off on Wednesdays for folks over 50.

Thanks Fredo. It doesn't appear that it is half off unless you use points. I was hoping for an actual half off of paying since I don't have any points on my card at the M.

Is beer and wine still included and do they still have crab legs on Friday and Saturday nights? Quality of the food?

When I was there in Dec beer wine included. Crab on the seafood buffet in the afternoon. Quality was terrific. First batch of crab was a bit salty next was super.

Beer & wine are still included, based on my visit to the buffet last month. However, prices keep going up. The new Saturday buffet is a Lobster & Champagne buffet, at...get ready....$50! Their Sunday buffet is still the regular seafood buffet, but it's now $40! It doesn't seem that long ago that it was in the mid $20 range.......

Actually, just now looked at the current issue of the LVA newsletter:


M Resort—Studio B: As of April 1 the buffet will close at 9 pm instead of 10 pm. Also the All-Day Seafood prices have changed from $33.99 Saturday and Sunday to $39.99 from 9 am-2:30 pm and $49.99 from 2:30 pm-9 pm on Saturday instead of being $33.99 all day (Lobster has been added to the menu for Saturday night). Sunday will remain at $33.99 all day.
