Fremont

Just got back form Las Vegas late this afternoon.
Visited M twice very good buffet has slipped a little on quality since last visit Wednesday Oct 30
Visited Mirage twice Weds.Oct. 31 and Saturday Nov 2 very good
Noddle House Golden Nugget Monday Nov 4 really surprised food was excellent as well as service.

Enough of the very good now the bad news
Visited the Fremont Sunday Nov 3 and this has to be the worst buffet not only in presntation but quality, selection and service all sucked.....We never liked it before but I assure you this will be our last visit it was really bad.........peel and eat shrimp, Crab Claws a tad above a poor rating---selection was reallt limited a better way to say it they were not ready fro business......and maybe (I doubt it) the waitress ran over her dog that morning or she just this way all the time.....

On the other side of things they put up the cable for the new Zip Line on fremont street this aM everything was blocked off from around 2am until 7...they are supposed to run test runs within the next two days....Still the old one there are still parts of the structure that is still there and the new structure at the start still has a lot of work to be done yet.....So may really like this buffet and so be it. This was not a deal where maybe the timing was wrong I think it was bad and there is a lot of room for improvement. Hopefully for others this is not the best they offer......

This was our 6th trip this year and we had 3 wnning and 3 losing trips....All in all trip was very nice. Lost a little money not only on one thing but all Craps, BJ, Slots, as well as Football parlays. But if you are just visting Las Vegas for a week it all good........

Weather was super a little windy but very nice.....
Was not going to post anyhting but food experience but added a few onther things that came to mind...
Thanks for the report. Was wondering how busy or slow was M, we haven't been there in over a year and all we here is the buffet is slipping and machines are leaving.
Correct on both buffet slipping quite a bit anbd we visit it twice each trip and the machines are leaving or they are just not replaicng them with newer ones is a better explanation...They gave out some type of jacket one day and the line as longer than I have ever seen it...People were pissed and picking up jackets and leaving....When we first went in they were empty but withing two hours they were packed..overheard a few saying this was the longest lines ever and would never fight them again.....you know how that goes thye will show up next time regardless of how long the lines are FREE IS STILL FREE AND HARD TO BEAT...will say machines all over (downtown, strip, and out skirts) were really not paying as well...the ones I played other than video poker the bonus rounds sucked.....you would get more bonuses but you were lucky in some cases to get your bet back.......payoffs were lousy...Heard lot of people including myself saying this is stupid even to attempt to play but we all conitnued to feed them......Las Vegas is still our pick for having fun and relaxing for a week......problem is we were there 6 times this year. It was the worst year we can ever remember as far a cost of the trip..---got quite expensive...Rooms were free but air and car prices were bad.....Zip Line is an example where locals are saying (mostly employees downtown) are saying it is all about the money.....Maybe to some but not to us the ZIP LINE is a waste but they say it was making money out the ass when up and running......I was thinking (that's a mistake) if Las Vegas were to take a hit in visitors coming in the economy will drop like a bomb. They really need to be looking for other types of industry to help offset things....I personally do not like Harry Reid but he holds a position that he could really help Las Vegas residents living there should be breaking his door down to solicit new types of business just as a safety net........
Somewhat disappointed in the M on our recent trip. We got into the buffet line at approx.2:35 p.m. About 12 people ahead of us. Almost all did not get seated until 3:25. We were repeatedly told that there was a change of shift, no tables available (although we could see at least 25 vacant)... When seated, many items either out or needed to be replaced as they were burned, overdone or just plain a mess from being picked over. Most likely the last time that we will go there.
