Fried twinkies at Mermaids?

I wonder if they've stockpiled? Haven't had one in years, but like anything else that becomes unavailable, now I'm interested!

Aren't there other companies that sell something similar to the twinkie?May not taste exactly the same,but a fried twinkie non the less.

There are people at our state fair that deep-fry sticks of butter, like corn dogs. Now there's a lunch with satiety value.

There has to be a warehouse somewhere with a multi-year supply of Twinkies. And no need to worry about them going bad. When global armageddon finally hits, Twinkies and cockroaches will be the only things left.

I remember many years ago visiting an amusement park that had swiss cheese on a stick.Deep fried like a corn dog,only with swiss cheese in the middle.Give these people time,they'll come up with something else to deep fry.

Finally stopped in and had a deep fried twinkie last week....not bad.
