Garduno's at the Palms to close

We used our Palms 50% off coupons every year since the first coupon at Garduno's. Some times just at the bar for Margs and appetizers.

Both of my kids told me they needed therapy after I told them they were closing!
We loved the Sunday Brunch. We will be saying our good-bye's this Sunday.

We had the opportunity to go on Monday for dinner. First time there. Our server wasn't exactly the attentive type and somewhere during our dinner our server seemed to disappear and another took over. That worked for us since he was great. We chatted about how good the food was and how sorry we were they were closing. Very good food. Lot's of unique dishes I've never seen elsewhere. I know they'll be missed.

Went there today for lunch. The staff still has not been told a specific date for closing, but the new venue is scheduled to open in December.

Any suggestions for a replacement for Garduno's? Really like the Sunday Brunch part.

A little more expensive than Garduno's, but the Sat/Sun brunch at Border Grill at Mandalay Bay is excellent. Rather than a buffet, you have a fairly large selection of small plates that you can keep ordering to your hearts content ($29.99). Unlimited champagne/mimosas are an addition $5. The $25 restaurant.com certificate makes this a really good and tastey deal.

Just did Border Grill for Brunch and it was excellent! Dishes that rocked:

Chilaquiles
Peruvian Shrimp and Grits
French Toast
Potato Taco

But everything was top notch! For $60 - $25 = $35 for two it's a bargain! Grab a table downstairs outside by the pool.
