Giada's??

So you got good replies and bad. I am always amazed by people that ask for opinions on restaurants, shows...it's almost like they need "permission" to eat there, or see that show. Everyone is different. We all like what we like. So after all these replies, what did you decide? Are you going to try it? If yes...why? If no...why not?
Got there early for breakfast 8:00 am and had to sit at the bar. That was the only inconvenience. Bartender/server was great and the food was outstanding. Flavors were so distinct in the breakfasts. Expensive . Yes . But wife and I are still talking about it. How many other places can you go to for breakfast and have memories about it.
Johnny Ramo,

To answer your question, I will try it. To try to address the amazed part, the reason I asked was I knew it was pricey and just wondering if it was a total rip off. I have paid a lot of money for awful meals, bad shows so I ask. I have paid 9.99 for a Prime Rib that I enjoyed more than one I paid $34.99 for. There is a lot of hype for this restaurant and I usually steer away from that but when someone tells me it was the best meal they ever had I consider it.

But you are right, people's tastes are different so does it really help.

The reason I will try it is no one said the food sucked, most said it was good. I am afraid I will leave hungry but I will try it.

So not permission just a clue as to whether I think I want to pay $40 for breakfast or $100 for lunch there or somewhere else I know already.

Best,

V
Vantzy, I appreciate you asking about Giada's as it's on my To Do List for this upcoming Christmas trip. I have heard mixed reviews all over the place, but with a trend toward upping the quality of service. I suspect if they're going to charge the prices they are charging, they'd better bring their "A game" with each and every customer that comes through their doors. I've also heard that, for the money, you get a bigger bang for your buck going at breakfast or lunch, versus eating there at dinner. I've heard that dinner is NOT worth the prices. But I've also heard that you're really paying for the kick@ss view, and for the 'Giada' name above the door, so I respect that.

That said, I'm going to give it a whirl for either breakfast or lunch and will report back my experience with a "thumbs up" / "thumbs down" when I get back!

We, also, were hesitant to try Giada's so we decided Sunday Brunch would be a good time to "try it out" and we were paying with points. We enjoyed it. The food was good and the service was excellent as was the ambiance. Did not leave hungry. We will go back.
We had dinner there in August. Crowded, loud mediocre food & service, expensive. Check the LVA dining guide for multiple better options.

Last year around this time they had a Groupon for breakfast and that made it worth it. Without the discount, overpriced.
Get Eating Las Vegas, I wanted to go there because I've liked her TV show. So many better options, I was very disappointed.

Food decent however can be found less expensive at other venues, but service not on par with many of the more exclusive places. Been that way for a while.
