Giadia's Restaurant

Have any of us LVA'ers tried Giadia's and if so what did you have to eat. I hear it's expensive what do you think? I'll be in Vegas the end of September and would like to try it.

Nancy
I have reservations for lunch on Tuesday. Will report!
I would like to know as well. Will be there next month and am wondering if its worth the $$$$. I heard you have to make reservations well in advance. Is that true? if so how far?
Reservations are needed. They take them sixty days out.

I made mine on open table a couple of weeks ago. DBueler and I will be having dinner there three weeks from today! The menu prices don't look bad. The reviews that I have seen have all been great and the view is to die for. I am feeling this place may become my favorite for dinner. Looking forward to having coffee and dessert as the sun is setting on the strip.
Hi All. Just back from a fabulous five days in LV. I ate lunch at Giada's on my last day in town, and was not disappointed. Keep in mind that reservations are essential...I made mine a week in advance. Walk-ups at lunch (12:00) were told that they could come back in 2-2 1/2 hours and there "might be a table." The setting, service, and view were to die for. Waitstaff called you by name throughout the meal, and they were attentive but not smothering. As this was my last day in town, and I had "overindulged" in many previous meals, I was looking for a "light lunch" and this place was perfect. Be advised, if you go there with a hearty appetite, the price of the "small plates" adds up quickly. Also note, that I dined alone so I had no one to share/sample multiple plates. The "bread" they serve prior to the meal is actually the plain pizza dough cooked with some olive oil. It is accompanied by some of the best pesto that I had ever eaten (Giada's has an open kitchen so you can see much of the food prep). I had the Wood Roasted Mushrooms with toasted marcona almonds and ricotta salata. Small, but excellent. I also had an order of the iconic Orzo Meatballs. I have never had anything like these and they almost melted in your mouth. The "plate" contained five smallish meatballs. At this point I considered another plate or dessert, but was "pleasantly full" (as opposed to the "stuffed to the gills" feeling that I had at many prior meals during my trip!!). Two small plates and a martini ran about $45. Some might think it expensive, but I felt the food quality, service and atmosphere were worth it. I'll be interested to hear a dinner review.

Thanks for the info. I was thinking of doing a "walk-up" for lunch, but will make a reservation.
Sounds like a must do on my next trip.

Thank you for the report.
I went to take a look a few weeks ago for lunch and the place was smokey. I asked about it and they said they were doing it on purpose for atmosphere. To me it smelled like a flue was closed on a fireplace at home and made me feel a bit uncomfortable. Maybe it was a bad day. I moved on. I will try it again.
