gift certificates

I was on the website for Resturants.com, has anybody ever used this website to purchase gift certificates for different resturants? Are the certificates good? Is there any trouble when you use them. We are arriving in Vegas in Sept and saw some good deals through the website for resturants. Any info would be helpful. Thanks

I use them all the time just read the terms and conditions to make sure it's a value for you. I have never had a problem using the certificates.

I've used them when I can.
There are specials on a regular basis -- twice a month or something -- so you should be able to time it so you don't pay the "full" price.

I've had only a couple of problems: restaurants that would no longer take the certificates. Simple solution, file for a credit with website.

The other problem I've had is the shrinking list of participating restaurants. With groupon and similar, it seemed like the list of participating restaurants got shorter and shorter.

Still there are some very good options available, such as Gaetano's.

We've used them a number of times, and never experienced a problem. As Acawinnhosp said - just be sure you read the terms. Most - if not all - have a minimum purchase requirement. Some also say to present the coupon to your server prior to ordering. I usually just place it in plain sight on the table. There are a couple of places where we have visited several years in a row, and now the merchant is not currently participating. The past coupons have done their job - we plan on going back even without the coupon because we enjoyed it so much.
