Good Sushi Place

I will be coming into town with my 16 year old son and he want to try a good sushi place in Vegas.
There are so many out there, does anyone have one or two go to places?
Has anyone been to the todai sushi & Seafood Buffet in the Miracle Mile shops?
Thanks!
Was in Vegas 3 weeks ago and ate at https://www.sushihousegoyemon.com/, it was very good and all you can eat made fresh and fast
Shibuya at MGM. ... And if you want provide a meal he won't forget, the Omakase menu at Shibuya.
I have eaten at NOBU in NYC & it was excellent.

There is a NOBU @ Caesars palace, but have never eaten there.

Living in Las Vegas and being one that enjoys good quality sushi and sashimi I have been to a number of spots around town. I might add that living for 22 years in Seattle has spoiled me in terms of fish and seafood. I prefer to order vs a sushi buffet while their are good ones here. The joint I frequent on a regular basis is Sen of Japan. I asked a former sushi chef at Little Buddha which is now closed where He liked to go on his day off and he said Sen of Japan. I have not looked back from my first visit. Look it up on Yelp and read the comments and look at the pictures. I am continuously satisfied with dining their and the chefs behind the sushi bar have been very nice to me. It is off of the strip on Desert Inn and Durango........ IT is frequented by a lot of locals and I have sat next to foodies that stay on the strip as well. In addition it is priced fairly. It is not unusual to see mom and dads their with their teen aged kids. I enjoy sitting at the sushi bar.

Likewise I have dined at Nobu in San Diego and it was fantastic. The Vegas restaurant is on my short list. Two words: Bluefin Tartare.

Thank You very much. I have a few good places to explore.
I am leaning more towards a make to order place as the ones in Buffalo serve a
better product than on a buffet. Although I have had a few decent buffet rolls.

Jazzlover, I have to agree with your assessment of Seattle. I have been there many times
and the town has ruined me for Salmon anywhere else. I have had some great seafood
and local beers. Its part of what makes me want to return, we are heading there in AUg for a cruise
so we will have a day or two to explore the city. What a move, Seattle to Las Vegas!

Thanks again!
Chuck , You are welcome. While Seattle is an exceptional town the jet airplane makes it possible to have fresh fish in Las Vegas that rivals anything I have had in Seattle it just takes a bit of searching. Send me a PM and perhaps I can make a Seattle recommendation based on where you will be staying.
