Green Valley and Red Rock buffet update

When we visit Vegas, we look forward to the GVR buffet with crab legs and the Red Rock with prime rib. We never complained about the price because of the quality and premier items. If Stations want to cheapen their quality to attract locals, maybe they can do that with all of them except GVR and RR.
We just got back from a week at Red Rock, and ate at the buffet quite a bit - had a couple of two-free-buffets coupons, and since I'm platinum and have quite a bit of comps built up on my card, used that for other buffets we ate there, and got 50% off when paying with points. Getting 2 breakfast buffets for a grand total of $4.99 worth of points at Red Rock is one heck of a deal, in my mind. We also got 2 dinner buffets for a total of $12.99 in points (more than once) so even with using points to pay for meals I wound up with more points built up at the end of our stay than when we arrived. Connie and I ate a lot more than we normally do at home, but when I got back, I had actually lost five pounds!! I like it!! We're going to be staying at GVR in a couple of weeks, so we'll probably eat at Hanks to try and use up more of my comps.
One of the things I really like at Red Rock buffet are the salt and pepper chicken wings. Simple but delicious. Connie and I are also very fond of the peanut butter cookies at the buffet.
