Guy FIeri brunch?

I had the same experience as Candy: Laughlin is a surprisingly terrible place for food, so I talked myself into schlepping over to Harrah's--a casino brand I normally steer clear of--to try Guy Fieri's Whatever It's Called Pseudo-Mexican Restaurant.

YECCH!!!

This was about two years ago. God, Laughlin sucks. It used to be a bargain destination, but its casinos have had delusions of grandeur and now, it's all just like a low-grade Strip. And the food is overpriced and bland--i guess that given that the average age of Laughlin visitors is 70 (true story!!), the only criterion for food issues that it can be easily gummed.

If Fieri's Laughlin joint is in "Flavortown," it's the waste processing facility.

It's all speculation until one sits down and eats there. Don't know..

Well, I did sit down and eat there, and Candy did too, and our experience was terrible, so...feel free to go there and have a different experience. Let us know.

I've learned that the only way to have a decent meal in Laughlin is to cross the bridge to Arizona. Plenty of options there, and cheaper, albeit with an absurdly high sales tax.

The Coyote Cafe in Bullhead has some pretty good chow,  at least for breakfast,  which is when we went there.

I concur! Ate there twice last time I was in Laughlin.

I don't know how bad the food would have to be to label this a bad deal. Seems very reasonable by Vegas Strip standards, which might mean the deal might not last very long. I liked watching Dani.702 eat, though *shrugs*; she liked two of the three entrees she ordered and it appears most of the items are breakfast choices. Worth a shot next trip if it's available, imo. We've sampled Fieri's Vegas Kitchen and Bar at the Linq on several occasions and it offers above average casual Strip dining food for non-exorbitant prices.

She is a good looking gal. I am glad she warned me off the chicken and waffles as I plan to give this deal a try on my next trip.  (assuming it is still available) I try and avoid celebrity chef restaurants as I don't think it is worth paying the celebrity tax. The one exception I make is Gordon Ramsay's Fish and Chips on the Linq. Since it is counter service geared towards takeout, it isn't totally outrageous as a complete meal there is $20 - $22. It is really good otherwise I wouldn't repeat.

Matthew ordered them all, mixed review.

Given those two reviews, I think this is a pass for me. Seems like the better deal would be a Grand Slam at Denny's given the lukewarm food and some of the dishes tasted so bad they couldn't finish the food.

Honestly I rarely go to Dennys

bur agreed would be better then guys.

Dennys is good, lots of breakfast choices.  Consistency across the country, it seems.  One day my after Dominos I and our lunch bunch were headed to Crackerbarrell (not my choice) but the waiting line was half a block long.  We noticed a Dennys next door, very few customers, one young lady doing all the serving, cashier, everything except the cooking.  Our meals were very good, including additions/substitutions on some (gravy, no gravy, bacon crispy, not so crispy,  extra egg, etc).  We tipped her very well as she was doing the best anybody could in the circumstance.  Ah, but I digressed.  Sometimes it pays to stay with chain consistency.

Denny's gets a bad rap but honestly, I've had dozens of great meals there. And yeah, wherever you go...same good food.
