I'm looking for best Indian food for people from India

My coworker and his in laws are from India. He's very picky about his Indian food. His wife is a marvelous cook so he's a little spoiled. They will need to eat out while in LV, can anyone recommend an Indian restaurant? I don't know which region they come from in India.
Not trying to be funny but isn't that like an American going to Paris or Rome and wanting to know where the best burger place is?

A friend recently ate at Graylord at the Rio and raved about it.
I agree, but I wanted to give them a suggestion should they be on the lookout for Indian food. Glad your friend liked Graylord at Rio, I thought about it, but didn't know anyone who had eaten there.

I would be one of those in Paris passing by the frog legs to get to Mc Donalds. Although chocolates and pastries I'd try while traveling.
The owner of Origin India on Paradise Road is originally from India and moved to London as a boy. I believe he still owns one or more restaurants in London.

Here is a profile on Origin's chef:

There is 25% off coupon in this year's MRB. As an alternative, 2/1 entrees are offered on Tuesdays.

I have also seen some coupons for discounts at Origin India in at least some of the Las Vegas Free magazines (such as "24/7 Vegas", "Vegas 2Go" and "Vegas Values Coupon Booklet"), so your co-worker and his in-laws should get their hands on these magazines and take advantage of the coupons!

And see the thread that I put up about the Restaurant coupons in the LV Freebie Magazines as of 4/10. Unless things have changed since then, there are different coupons in 24/7 Magazine and Vegas 2Go (the better coupon was in Vegas 2Go which was for Buy One Entree and Get One at 50% off (or 20% Off Of The Lunch Buffet) with a limit of 4 people per party and one coupon per person. The coupon in the other source was just 20% off of the entire bill.

I would not recommend Origin for the luncheon buffet, better to go to Tamba on the Strip in the Hawaiian Market Place.
I agree with westie regarding the buffet at Origin India. Tamba is much better but I prefer Mt. Everest. Their food, service, and price are the best of all current Indian lunch buffets. For a non buffet experience, Saffron Flavors of India is fantastic. Hands down the best Indian food that I've had in Vegas. They also participate at restaurant.com.

We were planning on going to Saffron next week, but I got an email from restaurant.com that Saffron is no longer participating in restaurant.com.

I have not tried the luncheon buffet at Mt. Everest, but we went there for dinner in March and the service was atrocious. The food was hit or miss with some dishes excellent and others, notably the kabuli naan and
lamb, was terrible. On the plus side our saag entree was outstanding.

Westie, bummer about the service you received at Mt. Everest. I've only had their buffet which is a steal at $9. I'll have to go for dinner and get the saag.

Regarding Saffron Flavors of India, the owner went to India for a family emergency and closed the restaurant until he gets back. I'd call before making the trip to make sure they have reopened. Hopefully any day now.

Samosa Factory is pretty good. If you see Kohinoor.......just keep driving.
