IN N OUT Burger

Is there a location on the strip or within walking distance? Is it that good??
I don't find it anything special, although when I pick up guests at the airport, many ask to stop there on the way to the hotel. The closest ones to the strip are on Dean Martin and Tropicana or on Maryland Parkway between Tropicana and Flamingo by UNLV. Neither is within easy walking distance.

I don't think it's anything special, either. We have one right around the corner from us and we might go there once a year.
I have never tried in n out, but I do love me some fatburger and there is one of those on the strip

I think they are great, I try to go once a trip. It all depends on your taste in burgers and fries. Their fries are fresh cut and not thick. Their burgers are on the thin side as well. They are always crowded (Dean Martin location) The "in" part is awesome, the "out" part, not so much.

The relative comparison is important.
Compared to most fast food (McD's, Burger King, etc), they're very good.
But In-N-Out, which I do eat, isn't as good as the burger I had at BLT (Mirage).
Of course, I paid something like $22 for the burger, fries and shake at BLT and I could have had just as much at In-N-Out for less than $10.

So, to answer "is it that good" -- the answer is probably no. It's not going to be some extra-ordinary burger. It's a excellent fast food burger.

None are located on the Strip. The closest, as mentioned is on the other side of the freeway (I-15) on Tropicana. It's not that much of a walk -- though walking on the overpass doesn't feel all that safe.
In'n Out is good for a fast food burger, if you want that. Personally, since I try to limit my burger experiences, I rather have a full out "gourmet" burger. By that I mean a big burger on a big bun with fries served on a plate to me at a table. If it was twenty-five years ago, it would be different. I'd probably find excuses to go there, but it's not.

Good Luck!

I like IN N OUT Burger . . . . I try to eat there when I am in Vegas! It's really good fast food! I think if I had one near my house the novelty would wear off (I have read so many post on Gardunos, and I laugh because I would never go out of my way to eat at one in Vegas because I live in New Mexico the home of Gardunos and I have eaten there alot). Not sure where you will be in Vegas but there is also an IN N OUT on Sahara across the street from palace station. I would not walk unless it was across the street!

Good Luck!

I usually catch the 204 bus on Sahara (in front of the Bonanza gift shop). It's a short, direct ride to the In N Out.
I tried it once based on the hype. I'd rather go to McDonalds or BK or Wendys in the future based on price and taste.
