Their website says it's "currently closed," and their list of open restaurants doesn't include it.
I hope it does come back. It was one of the best buffets in town, and a really good value for the price. I ate there many, many times when they had the promo that you could get a comp by playing $700 or so on the machines--8/5 Bonus Poker, the theoretical loss was something like $4. No sign of that any more, though :(
I think the mention of this reopening on social media actually decreases the chance that it's true.
(BTW, why didn't they call it the "MMM" buffet? Obvious.)
There is now some activity at the Red Rock Buffet but I don't know if it's good or bad. They have installed floor length black curtains in front of the whole buffet a few feet inside the outside wall. I could see inside through a gap and it looks like something is being removed like maybe the salad bar or one of the dividers between seating sections.
Stations said they would NOT reopen any of their buffets. Sounds like they are dismantling it.
IMHO its a big mistake. Sure the buffets are a loss leader, but they do bring people in the door.
Vegas.Eater wrote that the South Point Buffet will be self service starting June 1st. It has been staff served since it reopened last summer. https://vegas.eater.com/2021/5/28/22457562/circus-buffet-reopens
I won't go to anymore station casinos. They might want to concentrate on profitable things, but I will concentrate on places that offer things to me
