Italian Restaurant

I tried a search but didn't find anything. My buddies and I will be out in Vegas next week. We are looking for a good hole-in-the-wall style Italian restaurant. In other words, someplace we can just go in in t-shirt and jeans and not feel underdressed, but still has good pasta or pizza.

Thank you.
If you want hole in its perfect wonderful incarnation and crappy food, Battista's.

If you want a bit of color and good food, Bootlegger Bistro.

If you just want rocking good food in a casual setting but absent any hole-effect, Nora's.

If you want pizza but can't decide between Chicago and NY, Amore out on the west side.
Nora's -- well loved place by many. Casual will work well. A bit of a hole-in-the-wall. But still has a business crowd for lunch and dinner. It's still a sit down place with good service.

Amore: love the deep dish Chicago. You can get a pitcher of beer and enjoy it. Very casual.

Four Kegs: it's a sports pub. Pizza and stromboli is the Italian they serve. Awesome stromboli. A place where you could be louder.

Gaetano's (Henderson, on Eastern, south of St Rose parkway): take N'cat there and server her pasta and she'll propose marriage. Coupons on restaurant.com. But not a t-shirt place (though, they'd serve you -- but it's a bit more formal than that. There are people in suits inside).

Still need to try Bootlegger Bistro

If you didn't get it from Ken's posting, don't go to Batista's
Chicago JOes near downtown and the Pawn Stars. Always have a meal there, always use a restaurant.com coupon.

Vino's at the Cannery on Craig Rd. is very good, and is also on restaurant.com.
I am down with Nora's. We have made it a regular thing every year.

What do others say about Casa di Amore? I took my meeting in Las Vegas companions there a few years back. We enjoyed ourselves. The food was good. I guess you should get the pork chops, as I was asked I don't know how many times that evening if I had tried them. Alas, I had not, but maybe next time we visit. We did take advantage of the complimentary limo service.
We were at Casa about a year ago with some LVAers, my first return after several years. I know we were very disappointed; with Casa, not our dining companions. The limo ride is cool, but the half-off wine is still overpriced, it's Grand Central loud, and the food ran the gamut from acceptable to lousy. The server was great. For that "old school" Vegas Ital experience--with good food being a mandate--Vegas might be down to Fellini's, La Scala and Piero's.

So, there it goes. I trust and respect Ken2v's taste in food. Glad I was there a number of years ago, as it appears it has degraded.
