Jasmine Sunday Brunch

We finally tried the Jasmine Sunday Brunch located inside the Bellagio.
Wonderful
It is now our first choice for an extravagant Sunday brunch replacing Sterlings.

Many pluses over Sterlings
Site- right on the Bellagio lake with big beautiful windows to look out
The tables are nicely spaced
The food was varied and delicious including Peking Duck served at your table
Presentations were modern and unique with several items served on spoons or in shot glasses
Everything was perfectly cooked
SPACE. I cannot give this one enough credit. At Sterlings we felt like we were sitting on top of the neighbors at the next table.

Minuses
The dessert selection was limited. Mostly various truffles and a chocolate fountain with items to dip.
We ate so much of the other items that we did not have a problem with this. There were still stations
of the main items I did not even have room to try. They had a PHO station that look wonderful.

Up to you to decides.
The basic price is about $25 dollars cheaper but does not include drinks. They did have an option to
choose unlimited champagne which mom choose for $20. The price depended on the quality of the champagne and she choose the cheapest one.
Other drinks were priced separately. So there was a cost for Paul's tea of about $5.00. He did have 6 glasses so I think he got his money's worth.

I will definitely be adding this to our must do list for each trip in the future that includes a Sunday stay.

Carol
Carol,

Do you recall what the Champagne options were?

I checked their website and all they show is a $58 price so I'm assuming this includes one of the Champagne selections.

The menu items sound great and we'll definitely give this a try when it becomes unreasonably hot to sit outside at Olives.

Thanks,

Dan

Dan, The $58 did not include one of the champagne options so it is an expensive option
but still significantly less than Sterlings $85.00 price tag.

Mom says the one she chose (the $19.00 option) was very good but she does not recall the brand.
They were very generous in keeping her glass full.
It was never over 1/2 empty and she likes her champagne.

She thought it was a french champagne if that means something. (obviously I am not a champagne lover)lol

Guessing Peirer Joliet or Moet

Carol,

I'm a little dense so help me out please.....

I thought I read that your brunch was $25 w/o Champagne. I'm now thinkging that it was the $58 that I'd seen on the website but that there were some different price range add-on's with $20 being the "first level"....so I'm thinking it was $78 with Champagne and perhaps could be more if you opted for something more "premium". Am I getting this right? If not, please clarify for me if you can.

JM, at Sterling it was Perrier Jouet so perhaps it's the same at Jasmine?

At worst case, I'll call them and find out. Not a total Champagne snob but I don't like something demi-sec.

Thanks,

Dan

Hi Dan,
It was $58 without the champagne which I though was about $25 less than Sterlings with the champagne.
Since neither Paul nor I wanted the champagne this was a good option for us and for mom, with her $20 champagne it was $78 vs the $85.
Sorry for the confusion.

I hope you give it a try.
Carol,

Thank you for posting this. I was not aware of the Jasmine Brunch. I am going to research this further. We are not buffet people, but can be captured by a good value-oriented champagne brunch with good champagne.

Terry, I can see this in our future

Carol, thanks again for the recommendation and explanation.

Dan

Dan,

I have all the details on the champagne options and other information. I will post it the next time I am on the laptop at home, rather than chicken-pecking my IPhone.
OK, here is the skinny on the Jasmine brunch. I did something novel -- I called the restaurant. lol

A couple of things worth noting:
1. The $58 does not include juices, coffee, tea, soda, bottled water. So if you are inclined to have, say, juice and coffee, you will add approximately $10 to your cost. For comparison purposes, Bally's provides free-flowing Evian water, juices, coffee and, of course, the Perrier Jouet.

You have three options on the champagne.

A. $19 for sparkling wine. For this price, they pour Domaine St. Michelle out of Washington State. This is a pleasant enough drink, but really doesn't measure up to the environment and great cuisine. It is $8.99 a bottle at BevMo. ... However, Carol I bet this drank like a $100 bottle of bubbles to your mother, being surrounded by family and the environment on a special occasion.

B. $35 for Nicolas Feuillate. This is a significant increase in quantity. A very nice champagne that doesn't have the name recognition of Veuve or Perrier Jouet, to name a couple of places, but tasty nonetheless. This retails for $35.99 at Bevmo.

C. $49 for Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label. This retails for $46.99 at Bevmo. ... Dan, if the ladies Velcro you and I to our seats, we could hit the jackpot on this one. lol
