My reply is coming in way after tha fact but....I did the same thing.
Saw ZARKANA, then ate at JAVIERS......BIG DISAPPOINTMENT (Javiers that is...)
There appeared to be a lot of creative 'fish' type Mexican dishes to
choose from, but I went with a basic 3-choice plate. If they can't do that, I wasn't
interested in their other stuff so...enchilada, chili relleno, taco combo.
I always wonder about a place, when you order comes really quick!
Everything was so-so at best. I have MUCH better Mexican restaurnats here in
the Bay Area. For me, their sauces were the weakest...real poor/fast food quality.
(chips and salsa were good though, lol)
The other thing that drove me nuts was their...'sweeper' This guy with his little
dust pan and broom was around ALL THE TIME sweeping up every little chip crumb
that hit the floor...none of which I could even see, lol.
