Joel Robuchon Limo Driver Tip.

I have a reservation at Joel Robuchon for next Tuesday. The limo will be coming to pick us up at our Hotel and taking us to the Restaurant. What should I tip the driver?

Depends on the kind of service you get. If he acts like he's doing you a favor instead of the other way around, don't tip him anything.

Matt..... that is a great way of looking at this matter. Too often, it is almost expected by service staff that they deserve a tip.

Is the limo comped?

The first limo was a not a limo, but an Escalade. The driver was very chatty. I tipped him $5.00. We did get a limo for the trip back and I also tipped this driver $5.

AS a former limo driver, 15% for good service, 20% for excellent service was the norm. Same as in a restaurant. If the limo ride is comped, I would say $5 per mile if less than a mile $5 is fine
