I've been there a few times, mostly to buy meats from the butcher. The best part is that whatever you want, the butcher cuts it to order and prepares it right in front of you so you know that it is fresh.
As far as the Road Kill Grill food, I've had the ribs and brisket. The ribs were not particularly flavorful
(as memory serves, I think that they are boiled first) but they are tender and with bbq sauce,
I would say just ok. The brisket was good and very tender but not sliced to order. It has been pre-sliced and all the slices are stored in what is probably au jus.
For sides, I've tried the baked beans and the mac and cheese and both were very good.
So, bottom line: I like the place as a butcher shop but it is not one of my favorite BBQ places. Of course,
what is good BBQ is a very subjective thing and just because it's not one of my favorites, doesn't mean that you won't like it. A lot of people frequent the place for the BBQ, so my opinion may be in the minority.
