Johnny Smalls deal

Just saw an article that the tapas place at Hard Rock has an all you can eat deal for $19.99

https://www.hardrockhotel.com/specials/all-you-can-eat-tapas/

No clue if the place is any good but the deal sure seems to be....

-------All you have to do is sign up for the their slot club and show them the card to get the lower price.

Has anyone tried this place yet? It's on the lists of stops my wife and I are thinking of making on our trip in two weeks..

Been there multiple times.

It's good but not great.

The price is good....after you've ordered 3-4 tapas on an a la carte basis, the $20 is the cheaper way to go. The drinks are expensive so they grab you a bit there....I had a $8 beer.

The staff is generally clueless....the hostesses are hired for their cup size and not their IQ.

For people who play at HR and get food comps and discounts based on teir level, these are not applicable here so that's a bit of a piss off. I can use my $50 or $75 food comp but only on an a la carte basis. Also, my card level entitles me to a 30% discount but there is no discount if you use a comp...only if you pay cash. Chintzy move.

I'll continue to go there and use my food comp but it's not the good deal it started out being. If you're not a fish, it's still quite a reasonable place to eat....a fun format as well if you have a group.

I would also suggest calling ahead....they changed their closed days without notice...the players club staff/host didn't know until they went to drop off a comp there and realized they were closed. Another time they were closed for a private party...once again, no notice...just pitched up and they said "sorry". Suffice to say, we did get a seat that night.

I'd like to try Firefly and compare.

I've been to both Firefly and Johnny Smalls. At Johnny Small's, a friend and I ordered about 5 tapas total. Firefly is MUCH better in quality, service and atmosphere; but the prices are better at Johnny Small's. I'd go for Firefly any day over Johnny Small's, but Johnny's food isn't bad-it's pretty good quality.
bump...

Any new reviews of this place. I would be going for the AYCE
