kokomo restaurant - anything like it?

i am back to the boards after a couple of years!! Feels good to be back. i have a question to throw out there if anyone can help me. We are going to Vegas at the end of the month - MSS for 4 nights. My daughter in law is in our group and she absolutely loved the old Kokomo Restaurant at the Mirage which has now closed. She was wondering if anyone knows of anything similar, preferably with a Hawaiian theme that is comparable? It can be either on the strip or downtown, but not off the main areas, as we won't have a car.
i know about the Hawaiian theme at the California hotel, but she was looking for a dinner type Hawaiian or similar place to surprise her husband for their very special occasion of just finding out they are expecting their first child!
Any great ideas???

Second Street Grill at the Fremont fits the bill. It's really good with a nice Hawaiian/French/Steakhouse thing going on.

I thought of Second Street Grill then second guessed myself wondering if it was "enough like" Kokomos and failed to post.

This is a highly underrated restaurant.
