Using the Pocketbook of Values, or whatever it's called these days, coupons, I spent some time at the Home Run on Blue Diamond and Sago's on Fort Apache during my recent Vegas trip. Armed with bonuses, I felt I was getting a good return on their otherwise bad video poker, and I got some really good bar food and drinks, virtually all comped, and had a lot of fun at both places. Mostly, the bartenders are friendly women. Anthony is right about the fried clams at Home Run. Not as good as the ones with bellies in New England, but way better than the usual. These places are like the opposite of The Strip, which, for me, is a good thing. Need a rental car, though, as they are far from the madding crowds. Turned out I was at Sago's for Monday Night Football. Lots of giveaways and a very lively place.
