Looking for a good steak restaurant...Eldorado at Southpoint?? Other options??

Going out for a business trip in June and looking for a good, somewhat reasonable steakhouse for a business dinner.

Normally we would go to Binions, like we had in the past.  Food there is great, reasonably priced and side dishes are included.  This year Binions is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesday, which is when we would have our dinner.  I read a little about Silverado at Southpoint and it sounds like an option.  Anyone have any information or comments??

Also, if we can't find a good AND somewhat reasonable steakhouse, any suggestions on where else we could try?  Thai food, Italian, etc.??

Thanks!

There are still a number of steakhouses in Vegas that'll serve you a good meal without vacuuming your wallet. You're off to a good start with Silverado. Primarily Prime Rib, the name notwithstanding, serves a number of cuts of steak from the same kitchen. I've had several excellent meals at both places.

Lemme tell ya where I had my last really good Vegas steak dinner. It was at the Cornerstone inside the Gold Coast. And we all had coupons! LVA gives you $20 off, and having eaten there several times, I'll put their food and service up there against anyone's.

And just to mention a Thai food possibility---Weera Thai really has its game going. There are actually a LOT of great options, including some places out in the neighborhoods that are really affordable. That would include Komol out on East Sahara, which is in a shopping center so, um, unassuming, you won't believe there's a world-class Thai restaurant there (your friends will check their phones: "HERE???"). But the food will be worth any existential trauma the surroundings may induce.

My wife and I love the Silverado, going there each month with our comp.

We haven't eaten ay the Cornerstone in years, but it used to be pretty good and reasonable.

Silverado is an excellent choice.IMO its better than Primarily Prime Rib. Hubby and I eat there everytime we are in Vegas. We actually will be dining there in 12 days, looking forward to a great meal. Just be sure to get your reservation ahead of time.

For Italian, I suggest Roccos.  There are a few of them, I believe one is across from Mandalay Bay.  It is not fancy as it is a pizza shop, but the owners are from the Bronx, which is where we are from & so are familiar with Bronx Italian cooking.  Food is very good & prices are moderate.

Significantly cheaper than Italian food in a casino

In March I had one of the best steaks I've ever tasted at Redwood Grill in the Cal. $45 for a 20-oz bone-in ribeye.

Kevin,

Weera Thai sounds "intriguing".  I found that they have three locations.  Any one of them stick out to you as being more "upscale" (as in not with tables crowded together, don't expect too much formality, food first!!!), for a business dinner?

As always, thanks for the  great input!

The only one I've been to is the one in Chinatown, and the interior seemed nice and not at all crowded. One other thing I remember is that they have an insanely huge menu, including some dishes I've never had.

Thank you everyone for some excellent information.
