Main Street Station Brunch

Iam glad that MSS is opening tomorrow and would appreciate any feedback on the brunch buffet also opening tomorrow. I am a little surprized at the price. i realize the "brunch" offerings would increase the price but I really doubt that "breakfast customers at 8AM" are really going to care if that brunch selection is ready that early. I am not sure why they don't have a breakfast sitting at 8-10 and then change the price and add the "brunch" foods after 10....We will be there next week but I would love any input on the buffet before that. A buffet at MSS for eggs, bacon and oatmeal seems a bit high (at $18 and tax) Thanks in advance!!

There ain't no cheap buffets no more, darn it. I'm sure the quality will be fine, but keep in mind that the price has almost doubled.

There are still a lot of good breakfast specials all over town, so you don't have to pony up $18 for your bacon and eggs.

South Point  Breakfast buffet is $9.95 with a slot club card. Not a bad price for a good buffet, + bottomless Bloody Mary's from 7 to 10 am.

I'm sure the LVA youtube channel will do a formal review in the coming week.

$19 isnt crazy for brunch if its quality stuff:  fresh fruits, crepe station with quality ingredients,  good carving station.       But if its the same stuff they had before I would not pay up for it.

Hi PJ.  For some reason, this will not let me respond on the Rampart post, so will post it here.  Thank you for the response and video of the buffet.  I wish they had shown the salad area and unprocessed stuff. That being said, we are trying the MSS buffet tomorrow..

Thanks vegasdawn  I'll check in on Saurday, and thanks PJ we do have the coupon for the Southpoint breakfast and did eat ther in 2019. food was good but there was some buffet construction going on. I'm not sure how to find the buffet video?

Hi Maureen.  For some reason, LVA would not let me get on this thread yesterday, so here I am.  Well, the buffet was pretty much like it was before only much more expensive obviously, and the whole back section where they used to have the Mexican and Chinese section was closed off.  The salad section was where it used to be and then moving left, there was the pizza, then all the breakfast stuff, pasta, bacon, etc.  They were carving ham, sausage and processed turkey, but no beef.  They were doing omelettes also.  There was good broccoli, and mixed squash and onion thing.  They were out of the smoked salmon (in the salad section) and mahi mahi and never replenished.  The place was about 1/3 full and every employee we spoke with was very happy to be back and working.  The desert section was all there as before with the soft serve ice cream.

Now, just an observation on here since sometimes I cannot post in certain threads if I check them before signing in.  It also would be great if there was a way on here to block certain people on here as you can on discuss, fb, or other sites.  It is why I do not post.  Geez, on fb, if you call someone an idiot, there is a week suspension, and someone here would have been permently unable to post by now.  At least if we could block, that would be very nice.  I also miss when we used to be able to PM someone.

Darn. I hope the Mexican/Chinese section comes back.  That was my favourite part.

Mine too, except for the salad section.  It might be open at dinner - don't know.

Save some room for the bread pudding!

A little soft serve with that? Sure!
