Meatball Stop

A few months ago I posted a request for good meeatballs in vegas, while I got a few responses it was prior to anything being said about " The Meatball Stop" in Town Square (featured in reviews of December issue). I'm writing this to tell you that this is ABSOLUTELY one of the best meatballs I've had (and there are plenty of good one's here in Chicago). I went Sunday 12-2 after picking up our rental, arriving about 11:30am our party of 4 was seated very promptly and our waiter was very knowledgable about what was in each type of meatball, we ordered sandwiches and ala carte variations of the traditional, pork, and chicken, while we all ordered the traditional sauce several choices were available, every one of these flavors were unique in their own way and distinctively different as well. My personal favorite of the three was the pork in which fennel is used giving it an awesome flavoring. By the time we left 12:30pm the place was more than half full (guessing about 40 tables inside). This posting is to let you know if you try this place and did'nt like it I'd be very surprised, our bill for 4 was $46 to me very reasonable for a restaraunt in an outdoor shopping mall.
Thanks for the heads up - will try to make it over there on my next trip. Mmmm, meatballs.

Looks like another new place on the 'must do' list! Thanks.

We tried it last week, also on our way from airport to M, right around noon.

It can be tricky to find (sort of between the H&M and Rave movie theater in an inside corridor), but was worth our 30 minutes of circling.

We were seated immediately (the room is much bigger than I expected - think it holds 275) and had super-prompt wait service. I'm Italian and EXTREMELY snobby/picky about any type of Italian food, but these meatballs were top notch (I opted for the all-beef kind). I got a "medium" hero, which was two meatballs on a hunk of a delicious, crusty hoagie roll, and a solid meal for a mere $5.95. The only disappointment was the addition of mozzarella, which I paid $1.50 for and was barely visible. I almost sent it back because the cheese was so negligible, but didn't feel like waiting for a new sandwich.

The husband got the bowl of meatballs with some kind of mushroom sauce (I opted for traditional tomato) and was pleased with the portion for $7.95.

Their frou-frou drinks looked great -- just like the menu photos, actually! - so will have to try next time.

Definitely worth a visit!
