Went to the Mirage Cravings Buffet for the first time in a few years. Boy, has this buffet gone down hill. It used to be in the category of just below the Wynn and Bellagio buffets but now has fallen off a cliff. Now I'd have trouble putting it as any better then the Orleans buffet.

My apologies to those that like getting your own drink but that is a sure sign on cafeteria. They took up the entire back row which used to be a good Asian dim sum station and it even had duck. Had a large seafood station with oysters, crab, shrimp and much more. All gone. Asian is now standard easy fare, and seafood station is cut in half and replaced a BBQ station I think. Italian fare was bland and tasteless. Corned beef fatty, prime rib flavorless. Deserts now are mostly cookies. Best station was the salad and charcuterie station. And that's not good. Sushi was warm. American section had buffalo wings. Buffalo wings on a supposed upscale buffet? Are you kidding me?

Here's how bad things are. They have a station called "Gelato". Used to have actual ice cream and gelato. Now it has 2 machines with soft serve yogurt and they did not bother to change the signage.

They do now have "unlimited beer and wine." but that does not justify the $36.00 price on a Sunday night. Only way I'd do again is with the LVA 2 for 1 or comp. The price does not justify the quality.
