My Vegas-5 buffet run!!

While in Vegas with a total of 10 folks for 6 days, we visited the following buffets!

Thursday Lunch ( (3) 2 for $30.00 something Groupons plus 1 MRB coup) - "Flavors" - Harrahs. 7 in all, (my 3 daughters hadn't arrived from Buffalo yet). 1 of my favorite buffets. Got there toO early for the crab legs but everything else was top notch. Cotton candy in the dessert section was a first. The family enjoyed the unlimited mimosa' and coors light (part of the Groupon deal) also!

Friday Lunch ( (5) 2 for $30.00 something Groupons) "Paradise Gardens" - Flamingo.10 of us in all. Flashed my Platinum card and got seated in the Seven Stars/Diamond section next to the Flamingo's. Took the cashier a few minutes to figure out how to convert 5 Groupons to a reciept! Not crowded at all. Food was better than I remembered from years past. Some seemed like it had been sitting for longer than 1 would like. Salad bar was the largest of any buffet we visited. Dessert section was huge but not anything really located there but cookies, ice cream, a few cakes and more cotton candy (must be the thing now in Vegas). Nothing special. Highlight was the "Quesidillas made to order" station. I had 1 with Crab and chicken and extra cheese! Our Groupon also included the beer and unlimited wine and we got Seven stars/Diamond mimosa's. Got sunked for a $35.00 photo of us but hell it VEGAS!

Saturday Dinner (Baby Daughters birthday celebration) - "Cravings" - Mirage (MRB 2 for 1. 5 MRB coups!). 10 of us! Usually the highlight buffet of my trip (if I dont get to the Rio or Planet Hollywood). Crab legs were great and they even steamed them for me!!! I didn't venture too far from that section at all that night but the table was covered with delacies from across the room. Their dessert section needs a lot of help but I imagine that they, Mirage, figure by the time you finish eating everything else that they offer then dessert is not high on your list. No cotton candy!! The 10 of us were stuffed!! Drink service (alcohol from their bar) was very slow!! Not sure why since the place wasn't packed. However we were ordering 10 at a time so bartender may have been overwhelmed!

Sunday Brunch - "Bistro Buffet - Palms (MRB 50% off coup. 2 coups needed). 10 of us. The BEST DAMN MEAL in VEGAS (this trip)! ( see "Sunday Brunch at the Palms Bistro.....") Nuff said!!

Monday Lunch - "Garden Court buffet" - Main Street Station (MRB 2 for 1. 5 coups needed). Total $$ for 8 people ( 2 got stuck at some time share presentation at NYNY) came to $34.00! Standard fare but for some reason this is always 1 of my favorite buffets. All the food seems extremly fresh and with a "homestyle" touch. Our server was originally from Western NY, which is where we were all from, so that made the visit even sweeter! Plus you can't beat the price!

Catzindogz...I hope you are pleased !

Glad to see you gave The Mirage buffet another chance!!! Yes, the dessert selection isn't vast - but the quality is good! Also, I like the fact, that there never seems to be much of a line there!!
