One of our LV favorite meals

My wife and I generally stay down town and love to go to DuPars at the GG for chicken pot pie. Anybody else tried it? It's served in an oval dish with just a top crust. The crust is hand made and amazing. The filling is outstanding. Full of chicken and all the expected veggies. One word of warning though, when they run out for the day they don't make more. We ask before we sit down.
I had it on our last trip in March. Very filling and very good.
I just love to see people talk well of Du Pars. I have continued to go after the change from the old coffee shop and like it more than ever. I have enjoyed the grilled halibut and salmon at dinner time . For a late night snack if I want to sleep well I just order a fruit cup for $5.00 and enjoy sitting at the counter. In addition the breakfast selections generally are very good.
I've had all kinds of great meals in Vegas, but two very simple ones stand out. Both happened to be at the Angel Park golf complex. The first was a sandwich after a round. It was a turkey dip. The dip was a concentrated broth (probably chicken broth cooked down) and it was fantastic. I make this at home from time to time. The other was breakfast before golf. It was french toast, which I rarely have. It was served with powdered sugar and the best maple syrup I'd had. I've had great steaks, lobster, shrimp etc., but those two stand out for some reason. My local friend will mention them from time to time and both were over ten years ago.

Good Luck!
