Orleans Medley Buffet - Anyone try it yet?

Hello LVA members,

We are contemplating visiting the new Medley Buffet at the Orleans on our way into town for our annual Thanksgiving trip. We will be arriving the morning of Thanksgiving Day.

YELP reviews are mostly negative. We are curious what our fellow LVA members think.

thanks much!

They'll likely put out a Thanksgiving buffet similar to all the Boyd Properties.    How bad can they screw up turkey and mashed potatoes?   Or how much can they elevate it?    You can bet it will be a very decent but unexceptional offering of the traditional staples.

Thanks very much! :)

I'll post about it that weekend.

I ate there this past Sunday night (10/29/17). I had an LVA MRB  50% off coupon. The newly renovated room was very nice compared to the old buffet room. It was light, bright, shiny and new and well laid out. The seats were comfortable and the service was good.  But the food to me was about the same as it was in the past (meaning it's still average at best). It was prime rib and steak night at $22 but with the MRB coupon it only cost me $11. Still, the prime rib was tough/hard and the small steaks chewy. I tried a  little bit of nearly everything that I normally eat hoping to find something that would stand out enough that I wanted to have more of it. Nothing really stood out that I would want to go back for seconds. The corn on the cob was good and the pork ribs were good. There was also a marshmallow small plate dessert (the guy behind the counter called it a "pillow") that was interesting and tasty.

Would I eat here again? Probably not.

I had friends that just returned and said it was as good or just a little better than the old buffett. I believe Jean Scott has also given a short review. We may be there next month so I will keep checking for any new comments.

I looked on the buffet listing for the tab Buffets

Can someone check if the Friday Dinner price is there? Seafood night is listed as Saturday and I don't see a price for Friday dinner??

Thanks  MO

Thanks everyone. We have decided to still try it on Thanksgiving day... I'll let ya know what we four think.

Thanks Shannon

I have not yet been there myself but have several friends who have been and enjoyed it very much.

Enjoy!

We ended up not eating here on Thanksgiving Day. We arrived in town at 9:45am, and it wasn't worth it to have their breakfast buffet when we would be kicked out at 10:30am, and none of us wanted to wait until 11:00am when the holiday buffet opened.

We ended up at Green Valley Ranch buffet.
