oysters

My husband and I are going to be in Vegas in a few weeks and I am looking for somewhere to go for raw oysters, maybe in a happy hour kind of deal. He won't eat them so I'm not looking for a meal. We used to love going to PJ Clarkes but since it's closed I'm not sure where to go. Will be staying on the strip with no car so location will matter. Thanks!!

I suggest Big Al's Oyster Bar at the Orleans. The Happy Hour (2-5 p.m.) oyster special is a baker's dozen for $16.99. There is a free shuttle from Bally's. I also like the oyster bar at Palace Station. There is a free shuttle from Fashion Show Mall.

We are leaving Wednesday for Vegas. We too used to visit PJ Clarks during happy hour. I found Emerils Fish House at the MGM has oysters on the half shell for $1.50 during happy hour from 2-6 / Bar Only! Since we are staying at the Orleans for the first half of our trip, we just may try Big Al's happy hour. Thanks Termite.

Happy Hour at Lakeside at Wynn is a great choice.

My favorite one is the oyster bar at Palace Station. It can be tough to get a seat sometimes ...its easily the most popular eatery in the place. Texas Station has a good one too. There used to be a coupon for that in the MRB....not sure if its still in there or not.

I am from the East Coast and love oysters. I had a VERY bad experience with oysters in LV once (how fresh can they be..it's the desert) so I will never eat oysters in Vegas again
