Palms lobster buffet

Can somebody tell me the procedure/details for signing up for a seat at the Palms lobster buffet? I think I remember hearing something about signing up in the afternoon and then returning at a designated time? Thanks for all replies.

Did the lobster buffet wednesday(Ash). Went at 11:45 am or so and was about 30 deep in the line for the pre sales that started at 12:00. Used 2 for 1 from LVA.  Played a little, got in pre ordered line about 40 deep at about 12:50. Lobster stampede commenced at 2pm. Got first lobster plate, then desert plate (desert line gets pretty long, as most people kinda finish up at the same time from the first wave).  Back to seafood. When we left THAT day the remaining line was less than 50 deep at 3:30. They did fill the pre sales about 1:10 or so. For this Wednesday the most efficient play would have been to get in regular line a little before 3:30. Not so when I was there in December.

How did it go in December?

In December went at 12:45 thinking presale started at 1. Line was again about 30 deep, but they had already started selling presale. Did get through and went right to presold que about 70th. Stampede at 2. Finished up.(I really did not see anybody getting kicked out for their "90 minute limit" and most people start leaving after about 75 minutes). This time when we left, those waiting to got in was closer to 80 to 100 long.

Also be aware for presale, the rule is you have to be there to buy. You can't be the total martyr and get tickets for your party of 4, unless they are there at the time you buy. We did see the guy behind get by using his LVA coupon to get 2 tickets, but I think she was feeling nice and let him slide.

Went last Wednesday (March 29), great experience.  Got there around noon, to find about 100 people in line ahead of us to pay.  Got in that line, then watched the party ahead of us split up and send someone to wait in the 'paid' line.  The mom in that group looked at us and suggested we do the same thing, so we did.  Took about an hour for me to get up to the cashier, didn't matter that only one of us was at the 'pay' station.  No issue at all with the LVA coupon, and I gave out a couple of the LVA ads from the back of the book to people who were curious what I was holding.  After I paid, got in the other line to wait, which was maybe 30 - 50 people behind us now.   About 1:20 the cashiers left, with 25 or so people left to pay, I guess the first 'seating' was full and they had to wait.

Got admitted promptly at 2, lines formed up fast for the two different lobster stations, but they were fast in getting stuff refilled and would advise people lining up if the lobster station on the other side had a shorter line.  Should also note that the station on the left had lobster, lobster tails, and king crab legs, the one on the right just had the lobster and lobster tails.  Also, there were a number of stray claws in the steam trays and in the butter, all you had to do was ask for extra ones.  Wait staff was very efficient, cleaning off empty plates and the lobster shell bucket frequently.

All told, was a great experience, glad we were able to extend our trip so we could enjoy this!  And we earned enough points (not hard) for free breakfast buffets the next day!

Thank you for the update. My wife and I will be out there the last week of April. We'll definetly be doing this buffet.

You'll get a voucher, and with that voucher, you can join the prepaid line.

Sounds confusing.Where do you get volcher ? Then do you purchase from buffet cashier?

Anybody KNOW if the procedure has changed for the pre-sale tickets, since they no longer have brunch there, except for weekends?
