Pancakes for points at GG MRB coupon, and review

We used that this time. Trouble at first in that the coupon says "up to 3" pancakes but when we sat down with the voucher from the players club, the waitress said "no, they decided it was only good for 1 pancake". We questioned that and she went back to speak to someone. She came back and agreed it was the short stack of 3.
The pancakes are a good serviving of food. Most people won't need more for breakfast.

2 notes on the coupon: you need to earn the points in 24 hours prior to redemptiomn. Easy to do but note the club doesn't open until 9 am, so don't show up at 7:30-8 am thinnking to run the 25 points up quickly and then use the coupon. You'll have to wait for them to open. Either earn the points and get the voucher the day B4 or plan to eat later.

It does appear that the place has changed management or something. The prices have gone up and some of the ambiance has changed (the placemats are gone and all/most of the staff appears to have turned over).
Still good food, but witrh the new prices, not nearly the deal it used to be.
Radkad, did it take much to earn the necessary points?
Also, are the pancakes available all day or just at breakfast?
Thanks.

The restaurant at Golden Gate is now another branch of the Southern California restaurant (which is a very long time established restaurant -- its most famous location is in The Original Farmer's Market in Los Angeles) called Du-par's. I hear that many people like the place.

For any others who are interested in this place and who want to read comments about Du-par's (at least the ones in Southern California), there probably are some restaurant geared websites for Southern California restaurants and that may give you some idea about their food.

The points add up pretty quick. $1 coin in for slots, 2 for VP. Note that the ACG has a $25 free play for 100 points. We used both on the same points (although we turned in the coupons at different times)

They tried the only good for one pancake with me and it was a hassle had to talk to two people but finally got it figured out.
It did irk me that they tried to stiff me but the pancakes were good.
I only got the one pancake when I went through..but there was also problems because I went with my card up to the casino desk with the rewards book and she sent me back without the coupon saying that I just needed to give them the book and the card...took them about 10 minutes of them to figure it out...
I've heard Dupar's cakes are good, but really, is it worth the hassle?
I loved them, better than IHOP and the other places that you get at most of the diners....I will go back coupon or not and get them for breakfast...

I just don't think a pancake can be special enough to be worthy of a hassle.

Seriously, a pancake?

Seriously?
Could someone at LVA please clarify this situation? Surely the coupon is for a short stack. Did they really intend just to give one pancake?
