Used to love Prime at Bellagio, especially their lobster, which I didn't see mentioned in that article. Nice quiet eatery with excellent food and service, or was before the closure. Hope it all is as good as before.

Back when the Bellagio opened, I went in there quite often to hit the bonusing/banking slots. On occasion, I would get peckish, so I checked the "casual" eateries and always walked away laughing. I remember calling the Bellagio "The home of the $14 grilled cheese sandwich." Now, of course, that's pretty much the norm, so I'm sure that a grilled cheese sandwich there is now $28. Or maybe $65.
Which brings me to my First Rule of Dining at Bellagio. Whatever it is, and however good it may be, you can get the same meal of equal quality elsewhere for half the price.
We love the Ballagio, but haven't eaten at Prime before. The sports book bar is one of our favorites. We almost ate at the cafe in dec, but the club was 29 and fries were extra. We used to love that cafe. Everything changes, and I hope Prime comes back better than ever!
Have you tried their buffet.I planned to try it next visit. My son heard it's not good.I enjoy meals at all levels.Been years since I can say I had a bad buffet.I forget the name. It was at the Asian hotel where The Ling is now. I stayed at the hotel
yet I have to say the buffet wasn't good.
Don't waste your money on the Bellagio cafe or buffet. Apply that amount to a lovely (and quiet, something very rare these days) meal. Worth every penny, it was.
Patricia and Kevin, the topic is about Prime returning, not where to eat for less, hence my experience at Prime. Not cheap, but special, or used to be. Not an every day experience, but memorable, if one wants to. Not for everybody.
Edited to add that years ago the Bellagio Cafe (actual name back then) was a favorite of ours. The replacement, in our opinion, is very forgettable. Ate at the buffet once, a waste of time and comps.

Patricia, you might have a different experience at the Bellagio buffet. We were Bellagio regulars way back. I'd always heard the buffet was fabulous. We would almost laugh at Thanksgiving when the buffet line was actually 4 hours long. What could be that good? Somewhere in our time there (long before Covid) we did the buffet, hugely disappointed, and we hadn't even had to wait in line. It was noisy, tables very close together, wait staff/bussers running around, like eating in the center of a bumper cars ride at a fair. Food was very average at best. But, it could have changed for the better, or we just hit an off day, or something. Breakfast would likely be your best bet, if they have it open for breakfast. Hope it is great for you. Come back with a great report about the Bellagio buffet!

Thanks Candy.I got ticket for The O show. Saw it years ago so a repeat. I just thought Buffet easy dinner spot.My sons friends two out of three live in Las Vegas. Told him it was awful.Yet they are picky. So don't know.I have gone to a couple lakeside restaurants. This evening I would like to spend a little less.
