I want the $2.99 all-you-can-eat Circus Circus Circus Buffet Buffet back! As we used to say, "It's cheaper than food!"
When they revamped it several years ago it went from being a punch-line about dog food buffets to being somewhat decent. I'd say it was on par with the mid-tier buffets at Station properties or Stratosphere. But it was hard to overcome their long held reputation as being a trough of dog meat. ANd that really is the case for the resort in its entirety.
I think Circus Circus is actually a pretty nice place if you can put up with the little kids and stay away from the manor rooms. I've had some pretty nice wins and good meals at the Steakhouse. Their tower rooms are as nice as most of the midstrip resorts.
The decor is exactly the same color as a bottle of Pepto-Bismol, which always brings back fond memories of long nights of intestinal distress. I think they should actually take this and run with it. Have the dealers wear, in addition to pink shirts, fright wigs and clown noses.
Circus Circus Circus Circus used to be one of the best places in Vegas to play blackjack--I had many great sessions there, back in the day. And the steakhouse was so quiet and elegant, I would wonder if I was still in the pink clown college or I'd somehow entered a dimensional portal. I had many excellent meals there; I haven't been back in a while.
Anyone eaten there at buffet since it recently reopened? It used to be the absolute worst buffet in vegas. I am surprised it reopened. Maybe it's better?
