Dupar's: I ate at their Farmer's Market location in LA several years ago only because they were famous for their pancakes and French toast. I found them good -- but not worth the high price. And though they were good, they're only as good as I make in my own kitchen.

This probably means they're a good choice for downtown. But there are several decent choices downtown.
Left DuPars very disappointed several months ago, when we discovered that it had replaced the Bay City diner.

At the BCD you could get good food at very reasonable prices. Breakfasts were especially good. The current operation, while the food may be good, it way too high priced in comparison, expecially for this location. There are just too many places to eat in LV for me to bother trying this.

And they ruined the sandwhich selection in the deli.

One man's biased opinion.

I loved going to the Restaurant that used to be at the Golden Gate for many years and yes it was cheaper however the change has been a complete positive both in cleanliness and the quality of the food. I live in Las Vegas and one night I was in the new operation Dupars while the entire staff was involved in doing a deep clean which took a few days for this fact alone I have enjoyed being a customer on a regular basis. Was it good to get an eggs potato and toast meal for a few $ less or a half chicken meal for $5.00 and I remember when it was $2. 99 just a couple years ago or so , sure but times change. I too have years of being a customer at the Deli as well and remember the old ...The new is better. I cant think of another casino in Las Vegas where one can get a shrimp cocktail plus an order of cut fresh mixed fruit for $5.00( deli). This is a combo I get at the deli all the time. I also respect that the help from the older establishment were not all fired and are now part of the operation. Better to spend a few extra dollars on food then to throw it into the gaming .I cannot count the times that I have turned just a few $ into a profit when it was my day to win. Of course their are those that want to eat for 99 cents and gamble a bundle and that any expense other than gambling is a waste , thats just not the way I fly.
