There's buzz in California about Five Guys & Fries. The buzz is that this is real competition to In N Out.

I have always ;oved In and Out for a quick burger but Five Guys blows In and Out away in my book.

Actually had the honor or eating in the original 5 guys in DC. You knew it was something special when you pulled in and cars with both congressional and diplomatic plates in the parking lot! They stick to a few essentials which helps guarantee quality control at all their stores and it really is back to basics. Great burgers but try their hot dogs as well!

Oh and why anybody bothers with Curtas, an overinflated wind bag who is more interested in the sound of his own voice is beyond me!

Ate at the one in Bellingham, WA. Very tasty, great variety. The cheesy Jo-Jo's are awesome!

That would actually keep me away from the place. Politicians and/or their staff don't get much respect from me so I'll gladly ignore the places they frequent.

You obviously dont know DC then. This is a sign, much like folks used to stop where truckers did, of a good food find and word of mouth. And the lion's share of the business then was take out.

Got one here in Albuquerque, NM. I enjoy the burger. Now, if we could only get them to put green chile on it. Green chile cheeseburgers, for those not in the know, are a staple out here. They do put jalapenos on the burgers, but, it just isn't the same. Poor guys, I am sure they hear it all the time from us Albuquerque-eans, "When you gonna' start offering green chile?"
