reviewing ChartHouse at GN

Great Food and great service. We ate early in order to make a show on the strip and we were almost overwhelmed with servers until they got a little busier. No standing around, always preping for the next customer/need.

My wife had the stuffed flounder ( a new try for her, she isn't very adventurous when it comes to food) and was delighted. She kept commenting that it seemed to taste better as it settled onto the plate (they probably didn't let it rest very long in back).

I had a mixed platter and was also very happy. Great taste and a good sized serving.

Chocolate lovers have likely had chocolate lava cake elsewhere, but I would suggest you try it here as well. Order with or just after your entrée as they make it to order and it takes about 20-30 minutes. We forgot until we were into our entrees but we were in no hurry and it was worth the wait. It's like sex on a plate.

Try this place out next time you want a nice meal downtown.
Four of us ate there last year, and everyone who had any type of fish, had great meals-excellent. I being one who loves prime rib in Vegas must say I had one of the worst cuts I've ever had. We also had a show to make so I said nothing and just smiled.
I ate at the Chart House over the summer. It was good, but I have to say that, for the money, you get a better meal at McCormick and Schmick. The same parent company owns them both, so if you have a Landry's Select card, you get your points at either place.
Ate there last month a number of times for lunch and dinner.
They had an appetizer that had on top of fried zuccini crab meat and shrimp meat with wasabi sauce...excellent and it's a seasonal item.
Shrimp cocktail is huge, a meal in itself. Lobster tail good.
Excellent service I wasn't sure about a particular wine on the menu and they bought me a sample glass, didn't like that one so they brought me another choice...I told server why order wine just keep sampling...
Mahi mahi good. It's a good place to eat.

Hey Group,

As far as I know, there is a 10% Discount off of your entire bill (except for Alcohol) at Chart House if you have (and show them) your Auto Club (AAA) Card.

Make sure you sign up for a Landry's Select card. It will cost you $25 which they place as credit onto the card. Also you can use any date for your birthday and Landry's will add another $25 credit so you can use all $50 at once. They don't verify the date but same time every year from then on you will receive $25 credit on the birth date you have chosen. You also get $25 credit for every $250 you spend in Landry's restaurants. There are other perks associated with the Golden Nugget.
I have not used this to either make reservations or check in at the hotel in Vegas but in Laughlin ,I was upgraded to a river view room, just for showing my card.

This is my wife and my favorite restaurant downtown.
