Rio Buffets

Any feedback appreciated on the Rio Carnival World Buffet vs. the Rio Seafood Buffet.

Which do you prefer and why?

This may or may not help you. We eat at the Carnival World Buffet occasionally (when we have a coupon to use like the one in the Member Rewards book). We pick that over the Seafood buffet because I don't eat seafood. My husband can still enjoy a wide variety of seafood at the Carnival Buffet. They have so many choices available you should be able to find quite a few things to enjoy. We do think it's overpriced to go there without a coupon.

I am not a fan of Carnival World and I have never been to the Seafood buffet. I have eaten there a few times. I would suggest going at a busy time to ensure that ALL the food is at proper temps and the gravy/sauce is not a congealed mess.

They have wonderful ice cream and topping to put on it. BUT, they put the scoop into a tiny bowl, so there's no room for the fiixn's.

They do have a good stir fry station.

I agree with Joy - the regular buffet has a very large selection, none of which is better than just ok. No real "gourmet" items, and frequently some items have been sitting out for way to long. With a 2 for 1 it's just passable, assuming no long wait to get in.

I haven't eaten at the seafood buffet for a long time. Tried it two different times in two different years and both times all the seafood (crab and shrimp in particular) were cooked to the point of mush. I wouldn't go there again unless your review can really change my mind. Roy

There are MUCH better choices!

Ate there in April, never will go back. Couldn't eat the Prime Rib, so tough. I mean bad.

I enjoy the Carnival World buffet. It's pricey, but I use the LVA coupon. I liked it much better than the buffet at Wicked Spoon which is the most overrated meal I have ever had in Las Vegas.

Go across the street to Palms. The buffet is much better and you can use your 50% off coupon there...and they frequently have promotions where you can get a free buffet for putting 1000 points on your card. Plus wine and beer is included.

Well, we went to the Carnival World Buffet only because we had the LVA coupon and we will never go back. This place is so overrated. I can't understand the crowds. I ate very little. Did like the roasted potatoes. Boyfriend had some of the seafood and said he had better. Stay away from the carving station. They are trying to kill everybody! The turkey breast and prime rib were full of salt....yuck! There are much better buffets in Vegas.
