Rio restaurant changes

Hi Everyone,

During our trip this week to the Rio we heard that they were going to be making some changes in the coming months to the Rio restaurants. We heard from employees that they will be closing Buzio's and that likely a Guy Fieri Mexican style restaurant will be going in it's place - Buzio's likely closing in Mid December. Also they are planning to close the Seafood Buffet and somehow incorporating it into the main buffet (with details to be worked out how to pay extra for that). They said that in the area where the seafood buffet was previously they would be putting some additional fast food type places in that area.

PS - We ate at the Carnival World Buffet this trip and the quality seems to be decreasing each trip to us. Bummed because we always enjoyed it in the past, but the price has outpriced itself for the quality in our opinion.

I agree about the Carnival World Buffet. If I didn't have the LVA coupon I wouldn't eat there.

I really hate to see Buzio's closing. Hopefully they will move to a new location that is on the strip. IMHO their cioppino and bouillabaisse are some of the best. Tried them at Harrahs Oyster Bar and it was terrible by comparison.

We always enjoy Buzio's too. We usually eat there once each trip. I don't like seafood but my husband does. He enjoys that while I have a wonderful filet!

I booked my Christmas room at the Rio today and they wanted to know if I wanted to make reservations for Christmas day at Buzio's. Maybe that means it will still be open by then.

CR*P and CR*P. Did I say CR*P? Eliminating one of the best restaurants in Las Vegas ..Buzios...for a "name" with CR*PPY food.

Hey we will be there then too! We are staying at the Rio 12/24 to 12/30. Hoping they are still open for one more time but we heard they would close right after the Rodeo week.
