Ruth Chris Steakhouse

Hope you can help. Looking for a good steakhouse when I return to Las Vegas next week. Love Bally's, did not like the old "Range" at Harrah's, and I'm wondering what the collective take is on the new Ruth Chris in Harrah's? Any other suggestions appreciated! Thanks!!

One can do a Ruth Chris Steakhouse in almost any city.
When I go to Vegas I will Usually visit restaurants that are mostly in the Vegas area.
There are lots of good steakhouses in Vegas, variety of price ranges.
You will get lots of recommendations and one can even do searches.

Delmonico in the Venetian won't disappoint. Mastro's Ocean Club @ Crystal is also very good, both their steaks and seafood.

I have to throw Craftsteak into the mix.

That's assuming you live in or very near to a large city. The nearest Ruth's Chris (or Morton's or McCormick and Schmick, etc.) to me(and I suspect a lot of other members) is 2 hours away.

Having said that, I'll typically have steak at Hugo's Cellar or even the Flame, but now that there is a Ruth's Chris in Harrah's, I may pony up the $$ to eat there the next time I'm in town. I've eaten at Morton's on several occasions, but never at a Ruth's Chris anywhere.

Mastro's looks good to me, but the seating arrangments looks like everyone is on top of each other w/ no privacy.

Am I wrong? If so, tell me because the wife and I would like to try it when we're there in July.

There are a ton of steak place I haven't tried in Las Vegas, but among those I have tried, The Steakhouse at Circus Circus stands out. I know it sounds weird going to the clown place for a great steak, but trust me, it works.

Bushman - ask for a table in the treehouse along the outer perimeter and you'll be fine. Order the warm butter cake for dessert, a wonderful ending to a great meal.

Austin's and Sononoma steakhouse(POV coupons) are actually pretty good.

Plan to try the Ruth's Chris Steakhouse at Harrah's in April. I too was not impressed with the Range Steakhouse there before.
