STEAK BETTER THAN ELLIS ISLAND

I would like to know if anyone can recommend a steak dinner better than Ellis Island but beneath the top steakhouses on the strip? I have a tolerance for $30-40/person. Everything I read points me to Cornerstone at Gold Coast or Siegel at El Cortez(with LVA coupons of course). Thank you for your time and opinion!

Yep, Siegel’s makes a great steak dinner with several cuts available and some good sides.    The atmosphere isn’t very romantic but the food is good.

I LIKE Seigal's. Go for the house made bread pudding.

 Tony Roma's is possible.Top of Binion's?

Booze and Broads? Yes,I'm all over that. Ask for Bobby.

I'm not so into romantic,just a KILLER steak.Atmosphere? No.

PJ has had a few.

So has Frank and Ann.

I'm partial to a fat pork chop.

Bone in? Yeah,I'll go for that. No tater.

So many choices.

OK,now,I'm hungry.

I definitely recommend Cornerstone. The prices are very reasonable and the service is excellent.

I would definitely avoid Siegel's. The food is good, but the prices are high--and the service is TERRIBLE. That's not just a one-off, either--I've eaten there at least two dozen times. Every single time, I stand there at the podium waiting...and waiting...and waiting...for someone to acknowledge my presence--even if the place is mostly empty. Then when I'm finally seated, I wait...and I wait...and I wait...for someone to bring me a glass of water. Maybe I already have a menu---maybe not. After 10-15 minutes more, a waiter saunters up. An hour after I walked in, I am finally enjoying my meal. If I'm lucky. The service there stinks. Stinks. Stinks. Stinks stinks stinks stinks stinks. Fortunately, since the El Corpse torched its VP and cut off all my offers, I have no reason to go back. Fuck 'em with extreme prejudice.

My favorite non-LVA coupon steak choices are Primarily Prime Rib at South Point and the old-style steakhouses at the Fremont and Circus Circus Circus Circus Circus. Also, I should mean steak night at the Emerald Island--Saturday nights only, but my god you can get an incredible complete meal for well under $25.

For the record, I have eaten at Siegel's several times and have never had a problem with the service or food. The atmosphere is bland, but other than that , I have no complaints.

I almost forgot to mention another place where there's an LVA coupon available--Fuego at Fiesta Henderson. Nice place, never crowded, and the usual lineup of steaks and prime rib. The prices are very reasonable and the food is excellent.

Thanks for the help, it is appreciated.

I vote for Siegels if you will go up a bit use the coupon at Binions but you will be up a bit

I should mention and I know I am not in the majority I do not like the Ellis Island special. When I go there i get BBQ. I know the steak is cheap but just not that good in my view

Adam, I agree with you regarding ellis island. I've never used the Binions coupon. Do you feel the value at Binions is better than say cornerstone at gold coast when considering the coupons?
