Can anyone suggest a place either downtown or the strip to get a filet 10-12 oz with potato,salad,etc. that is not ala carte? I would like to stay around the $50-70 range. I have not spent much time downtown but I bet someone out there knows the place to go! Thanks for your time!
Downtown: Redwood Grill at California has special and also 2nd Street Grill (at Fremont) has $29.99 complete steak dinner.
Binion's steakhouse comes to mind. Also, if you can travel to the "way south" strip, try the Silverado Steakhouse at South Point.
10-12 oz is a pretty big filet. you may just have to go the downtown casino websites and visit that question. Think most are ala-carte but can not say with certainty
I'd go to The Steakhouse at Circus Circus. With your steak you get a salad, potato, veggy side and I believe bottled water (sparkling or flat). So it is not a la carte. Service and ambience should be old school excellent. It should also come in at your price range under $70 PP.
Im not sure why Ala-carte is so objectionable if it ultimately comes into your price range.
9-oz filet at Siegels (El Cortez) is $30. Take 50% off that with the coupon from the book here. Comes with veggies and potato. Pretty damn good and leaves you plenty of extra money to get a shrimp cocktail/wine and dessert.
