Sunday Breakfast/brunch recommendations for downtown Reno area during HAN

Not a Starbucks for breakfast person, so I'm looking for a more traditional breakfast(eggs, pancakes, ham or bacon). Any recommendations for downtown Reno area during HAN, we're staying at Harrahs. Hash House A Go Go menu looks better for lunch or dinner than breakfast to me.

The brand new Hash house a Go-Go opened inside Harrahs. Its on the Mezz level/overpass level
between the 2 towers, next to the Starbucks. Last time I was there.......... it was dead.

I'm sure it will be busier, HAN, but Hash is so new, not alot of people know its there.

I think you might be Diam.? Perhaps Use your card for the Breakfast Buffet. Also on that level.

Thanks CLV, I'll be looking for you and your camera at HAN. I just revisited the Hash House menu and found a "basic breakfast" listed. Just what I wanted so it's all good. Can I use reward credits(rcs) to pay for food at Hash House or at least charge it to room and pay at departure with rcs?

My hubby is getting excited about all the HAN cars he's going to see this weekend. I'm looking forward to the music to go with the era.

You want Peg's Glorified Ham n Eggs. It's a safe and pleasant 5 minute walk over the river from Harrah's.

I second Peg's Glorified Ham n Eggs - great food, good coffee, good service and not too pricey! Ranks up at the top of Reno breakfast joints every year!

South of downtown toward Peppermill is place called The Black Bear. It is a great breakfast place. You will need a car however as it is too far to walk. It is across from where Heidi's used to be. Heidi's was a great breakfast place. The sign is still there now but no building. Sad. I cannot recommend the "Hash House" joint at Harrahs.

Just too add, I have been to Reno many times but I have never heard of "Peg's." However I just looked at the menu and all of a sudden I am hungry. We will check out Peg's next trip at least one morning if we can stand to skip the Black Bear.

The place that fingerstim refers to is the Black Bear Diner, part of a chain. It's good, and the portions are huge, but I think Peg's is much more representative of a local Reno place. And Peg's is within walking distance of downtown.

We ate breakfast at Harr buffet..........Sat. I think it was. Our friends dined at Hash house.

We all had Good meals. Yes, you can pay with RC's. Mine are down to Zero at the moment! lol

Was a good week, and great fun.
