I usually dont post about buffets since thats all I eat while in Vegas. But this past Sunday was the best surprise of the trip. After doing the Harrahs buffet Thursday (Groupon), Flamingo buffet Friday (Groupon) the Mirage buffet Saturday MRB 2 for 1...we decided to try our 50% off coup at the Palms buffet Sunday. To be honest I wasn't expecting much. I was actually getting quite frustrated after we stood in line (10 of us) for nearly 20 minutes and did not advance 5 feet. WE probably stood in line for nearly 40 minutes before we got to the register. I presented my MRB coup to pay for 5 people and my girl did ditto for 5 more. I was somewhat put back by the fact that although both my girl and I presented Palms players cards ( which the MRB coup requires) we were still charged the $19.99 price instead of the $13.99 price that comes with your player card. Still 5 people ate for $54.00 ..so I'll take it. THe place was packed!!!When we finally got seated and I immediatly got in the food line. I then understood what all the fuss was about. There had to be more meat choices in this $13.99 brunch than were in the $29.99 buffet the night before at the Mirage.
Crab legs, Clams, Prime rib, Mussles, Sushi, Mongolian beef strips, fried and baked chicken, ham....etc. Topped off with unlimited mimosa's and champagne!!! I started out with crab legs and french toast! One HELLUVA a combo. It was better than Chicken and waffles, which is what my nephew had. The spread for that price was the best I've seen anywhere! My MRB made it even better. However if I had to pay $13.99 per person I would have gladly paid it.
I can assure you that any Sunday that I'm in Vegas from here on end, the Palms Buffet/brunch will be my mealtime location. Mind you that it stopped at 3! There were people waiting in line for dinner to start at 4 when we left. I doubt that they experienced the same spread/champagne etc that we did for brunch!!!!
