Does anyone know if you can use points to pay for happy hour drinks and food?

I contacted the restaurant and was told the answer is no, but a member of another board called the Rewards Center and was told yes. Go figure?
Does that mean you can't swipe your card at the point of sale but you CAN go to the rewards center and get a paper comp slip to pay?
I don't see why they wouldn't accept points. At Aliante, MRKT accepts points for happy hour drinks and food in the bar. Maybe you should call again, Westie, and ask either for the manager, or for the bartender.

Michelle Lee, Large Party Coordinator, was the individual who responded negatively.

------UPDATE: I just went into my email account to check on her title and she sent me the following update:
"Thank you for taking the time to update us and bringing the item to our attention. We are currently working on our terminals to see if we can update the process to have the points being redeemed at our bar terminal at Tbones. I can keep you posted once it is capable."

Looks like the answer will be yes by the time I arrive in town. I would think the worst case scenario is I could do what Mare suggested (i.e. getting a paper comp from the Reward Center).

Mare & Sue - thanks for responding.
I am amazed that their bar terminal didn't allow swiping cards for points, AND that they apparently weren't willing to do the transaction on their dining room terminal. Every single restaurant and bar at Aliante (except for the food court outlets) is equipped to swipe cards, even the restaurants that are not Stations-owned. They certainly DO need to "update the process," lol.

Getting a voucher from the rewards center is always an alternative, but the problem is that you have to know how many dollars you need, so you'd have to wait until you get the bill, then go get the voucher, and return to the restaurant to pay.
Sue & Mare - I just received another email from michelle and she confirmed that getting a voucher from the rewards center would work.
As Sue stated, that's kind of a pain since you have to wait until you get your bill, but I've done it in the past. A bit of a hassle, but no big deal.

Enjoy, Frank!
